Dear Parents,

The third graders have earned enough PBIS tickets to enjoy an ice cream sundae party!  We will celebrate next Tuesday, April, 30.  If anyone would like to send in toppings it would be greatly appreciated.  So far we have Hershey’s Strawberry syrup.  Thanks!

The third graders are so excited to be working in our "Chemical Tests" unit in Science! Each day we don our safety goggles and conduct experiments in search of discovering the identity of 5 unknown chemicals.  Pictured here are some future scientists!

Dear Parents,

This is a quick note to let you know that every child is bringing home a Social Studies book this weekend.  We have a test on Chapter 2 on Monday.  We have spent much time studying in class, but please review the vocabulary words (highlighted in yellow) and the main ideas (underlined in blue) with your child.  Thanks for your help!

Also, the class voted to have “Secret Santa” in our class.  This is the way it works:  your child picked the name of another third grader. Each child included 3 or 4 things they are interested in or enjoy doing on their slip of paper.  During Advent, your child will do anonymous kind things for the person he or she picked (such as small treats, kind notes or good deeds).  At the end of Advent, your child should bring a $5-$7 gift for their child.  We will exchange the gifts at our classroom Christmas party on December 21.   If you have any questions please feel free to call or email me.
